Disney’s “Onward” will feature an openly LGBTQ animated character voiced by Lena Waithe. The character will be a purple cyclops who is a police officer that references her girlfriend when she pulls over a distracted driver. While this will be Disney’s first animated character to be LGBTQ, Disney has featured a few other LGBTQ characters in their live-action films. Onward hits theaters on Friday March 6th!
