A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputy is on paid leave after officials say he got into a domestic dispute that left a woman with a bloody nose.

According to an incident report the woman and Alfonso got into an argument, causing Alfonso to hit her. Investigators interviewed the woman and a witness, but it is unclear what started the argument.

Police arrested deputy Alex Alfonso on a domestic battery charge. He was released from jail on Tuesday under court-ordered supervision.
