During Pope Francis’s greeting in St. Peter’s Square on Tuesday a woman grabbed his hand and tugged him toward her causing Pope Francis to slap the woman’s hand to free himself from her.

The video shows the woman shouting at the Pope but it is not clear what she was telling him.

The pope continued greeting people, but kept his distance as he was making his way to the Nativity scene at the center of Vatican City.
